Running 101: Greatest Tips for Summer Running

How have you been handling running in the summer? With the heat and humidity it’s pretty tough, right?

If you’re a new runner, this may be your first time running in high temperatures.  I can tell you that no matter how long you’ve been a runner, it is always an adjustment to transition to summer running!  In Philadelphia, we’re heading into our 5th heat wave of over 90-degree temperatures and there is no end in sight!  But if you’re training for a race, you can’t let a little thing like hot weather stop you!

For this month’s Running 101, I’m going to share some of my greatest tips for conquering summer running.  Yes, it’s challenging and sometimes absolutely miserable but you can do it – without resorting to the treadmill every day!

Running 101: How to Have a Successful Running Off-Season

Have you heard of having a running off-season?  It’s the most amazing thing ever – if you do it right!

It’s time for a new topic in my Running 101 monthly series!  I hope you’ve enjoyed the series so far!  I’ve previously shared the following Running 101 topics:

For this month, I thought it would be fitting to talk about the running and racing off-season.  While I know many runners are preparing for marathons right now, for many of us, this is the time to take a little break, rest, and rejuvenate before starting another round of training!  This is an essential part of being a runner, so I hope you appreciate these few tips!

Last-Minute Ragnar Relay Packing Guide

Would you like to run over 200 miles with 11 awesome friends?  That’s what I’ll be up to this weekend at the Ragnar Relay Pennsylvania!

This has been on my running bucket list for YEARS and I couldn’t be more excited about the big event, but I’m also pretty nervous!  Unfortunately, my procrastination doesn’t work as a strength in situations like this, but in event, here’s my last-minute Ragnar Relay packing guide!
