Being born and raised in Buffalo, New York, I love the snow and I love winter weather. I have so many fond memories of playing in the snow as a kid, and I still get excited when the flurries are falling from the sky! For the Friday Five, here’s what I love about the winter!
Happy Tuesday! If you’ve visited Run With No Regrets regularly, you may notice that things look a little bit different around here. That’s because I am FINALLY self-hosted on WordPress! Blogger was definitely good to me, and was a great place to start my blog, but I really wanted to take things to the next level and have more control over my site. So here I am, and here it is!
I have to give a HUGE thank you to Amanda at The Suitcase Designs who transferred me to WordPress and got me on the Genesis theme. She’s so helpful and provides a great, affordable service! She was also able to install my theme from Natasha at My Cute Lobster Designs.
Let me know what you think of the new site! I want to make it the most useful for YOU, so if you think the placement of certain links is a bit off or if the colors make your eyes cry, please let me know! I’ll definitely be playing around with it over the next few weeks!
City Fit Girls SHIFT Week 1 Recap
For the past few weeks, I’ve been talking about the City Fit Girls SHIFT program, which officially started on November 30. On Sunday, I talked about the Meal Planning 101 portion of the program. The other huge part of SHIFT is fitness, and there’s a whole lot of it!
Happy Sunday! I hope you enjoyed our first weekend in December! For the first time in a LONG time I am linking up with Jill Conyers and Laura of Mommy Run Fast for What’s for Dinner. Check out their blogs and see what everyone is eating! It’s a great way to get inspiration for healthy recipes! I’m done with the excuses, time to get back on track!
How in the WORLD is it already December?? This is madness! 2014 has almost come to an end. I still can’t believe it.
If you celebrate, I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving holiday. We really had a lovely time and while I stressed myself out with the kitchen duties, everything went really well. I posted a little while ago about how to fight the temptations during the holidays, and I think I did a pretty good job!
Bret and I had the pleasure of cat sitting my sister’s cat, Weasley, for the holidays. We’ve kept him with us for a couple of times, but this was his longest visit. I drove down last weekend to pick him up, and as always he was delightfully well-behaved in the car. As usual it took him some time to feel fully at home, but I think he really settled in this time! By the time my sister came to get him, it almost seemed like he didn’t want to leave! This is as close as it gets for us, until we finally get our own kitty!
