Happy Friday!! I am SO happy that the weekend is here! In less than 48 hours I’ll be finally racing in the Cherry Blossom Run. A few days ago I shared my goals for the race, so now I’m just impatiently waiting for the big day. I’m so nervous and excited as I get packed for Washington, DC!
A few days ago I was contacted by Gone for a Run to sign up for their first virtual race, the Log Off, Shut Down, Go Run Virtual 10K. I’ve never run a virtual race, but I thought it would be interesting to try it out. As I prepare to travel for a race for the first time, I’m loving the idea of being on the other side of the spectrum and being able to set out on a race as soon as I step out the door!
From Gone for a Run:
Spring is here – time to log off, shut down, and GO RUN! Virtual races are easy, motivating, and mostly importantly, fun. Just sign up, receive your race packet in the mail, and run, walk, or crawl the 6.2 miles on the course of your choice during our race window, and receive a REAL finisher’s medal! For even more fun, post your race recap on our Facebook page to be eligible to win great raffle prizes. Race will be held April 24th-April 26th.
Your race packet includes a race shirt (either a Women’s Athletic Tank Top or a Men’s Lifestyle Tee), gorgeous finisher medal, real race bib (no downloads!) and a car magnet.
If you post your race recap on Gone For a Run’s Facebook page, you could eligible for a raffle prize! Raffle prizes include the following best-selling Gone for a Run items, all featuring original Log Off, Shut Down, Go Run artwork:
You can sign up for Log Off, Shut Down, Go Run at the Gone for a Run website. The cost of the Virtual 10K is only $30, a great deal! In order to ensure that you receive your race packet and medal on time, register for the Gone for a Run 10K by Tuesday, April 14! Again, the race weekend is April 24-26! I plan to run the 10K during one of my upcoming long runs! I hope you can join in!Log Off, Shut Down and Go Run this Virtual 10K April 24-26! @goneforaRUNcom #runchat #sweatpink… Click To Tweet
