Oct 03

Somehow I looked up and it was October.  Time is flying so fast!

Since it’s the first Saturday of October, I’m joining in the Ultimate Coffee Date linkup, hosted by Coco, Deborah, and Lynda!  Go to any of their sites to see what everyone’s posting, it’s a great way to get to know other bloggers!

Let's catch up with the ultimate coffee date! #ultimatecoffeedate Click To Tweet

It's the Ultimate Coffee Date, where fitness bloggers catch up and share what's going on in their lives!

The Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…work is really intense right now!  Last month when we met over coffee, I shared that I’ve moved into the main office at work and am getting adjusted to the “corporate life” in my project manager role.  Well, work is really picking up for me now.

It’s really exciting to be part of such a massive project.  We’re still in the development stages and almost every day I have meetings in the board room with Senior VP’s and VP’s, or I’m handling random tasks and calling people for information.  It’s been pretty stressful though because there’s so much that I’m learning.  It’s a lot to take in being new to all of this.  When I get home each night, I’m mentally and physically exhausted…

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…September was my greatest month for traffic ever at Run With No Regrets!  I am so proud.  I was fortunate to have some great guest posts and have the opportunity to promote the Love Run Half Marathon, which brought in a lot of page views.  Hopefully, some new visitors will find their way back here!

I am still a tiny, tiny blog…I don’t get thousands of page views a day.  I continue to work hard to do all the things we bloggers have to do.  I’ve been using Pinterest much more aggressively thanks to Tailwind (affiliate link), and I’m doing a better job of staying ahead of my editorial calendar.  Check out my review of Tailwind and how it can help you with your Pinterest scheduling!

I recently won a free seat to the How to Grow An Authentic Email List course (affiliate link)!  It is a very comprehensive program with worksheets, audio, and video tutorials, all self-paced.  I really have to take the time to improve my newsletter, so this came right on time!  I have so many ideas on things that I want to do, but they will take a lot of work and I’m definitely scared that I’m biting off more than I can chew, or that I put in the work and no one will be interested, sigh…

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I think I’m starting to get stronger.  I’ve mentioned that I’m doing daily pushups and sit ups and it really is starting to become routine…when I’m not too exhausted from work.  Yesterday, I did 20 pushups non-stop!

Running is also feeling easier, somehow.  I don’t know if it’s because we’re in the fall and the weather is less oppressive, or the cross training is actually working, but I’ve been feeling really good.  It’s very exciting, maybe there are more PR’s in my future?

And maybe the Tough Mudder won’t be so awful after all?  Who am I kidding…I’m still scared that I’ll hurt or embarrass myself!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I now have a FitBit!  I have had a Misfit Shine since last Christmas, but I’ve constantly had problems with it.  Every time I change the battery, it stops working.  And I’ve had so many days where it’s lost my data.  Needless to say, very frustrating.

So I said, “Enough is enough” and bought the FitBit Charge!  I bought it from Road Runners Sports and only paid $93!  I’m loving it so far.  I now need to find more friends so that I stay motivated to get in my steps!  When I don’t run, my steps are pretty low…so this will be great motivation!  If you have a FitBit, let’s be friends!!

What would you share with me over coffee?
