Is it okay for us to have an unplanned coffee date?  There’s so much to catch up on!

Every first Saturday of the month is the Ultimate Coffee Date linkup, hosted by Coco, Deborah, and Lynda!  I’m a little late this month, but I still wanted to join in the fun.  Go to any of their sites to see what everyone’s posting, it’s a great way to get to know other bloggers!

Better late than never, the Ultimate Coffee Date linkup! #ultimatecoffeedate Click To Tweet

It's the Ultimate Coffee Date, where fitness bloggers catch up and share what's going on in their lives!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I was selected as a Social Runner for the Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run!

Social Runners have complimentary entry to the Cherry Blossom Run and get to share their training journeys on social media.  We also get amazing swag from New Balance and get to participate in some awesome VIP events on race weekend.

I entered the contest on a whim and really didn’t think I’d have a shot…so imagine my surprise when I was called on Wednesday night and told that I was selected!  I’m SO pumped!!

And I’m not the only one…I’m super excited and happy that Courtney from Eat Pray Run DC is also a Social Runner for the race!

It’s going to be amazing, I can’t wait to run CUCB for the second time!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’ve been really working hard on the blog and making some investments that I hope will be worth every penny.

I’ve created a beautiful landing page where I hope to attract more members to the blog!  I’m so happy to have about 85 subscribers to my newsletter, where I send the latest blog posts, plus share some other things about running, healthy living and getting to know me better.

Are you signed up yet?  I’m now offering a FREE Cheat Sheet to help you keep and maintain your running routine.  It’s my first time creating something like this, and I hope that you guys find it helpful.  I’m looking to make even more free printables in the near future – I just have to figure out all the logistics.  It’s fun and a little frustrating trying to figure it out, to be honest!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’m really excited about Thanksgiving this year!  For the first time in a few years, I’m going to my hometown of Buffalo, New York to spend Thanksgiving with my entire family.  The last 2 years, we had Thanksgiving at our place in Philly.  I don’t head up to Buffalo very often, and as my family members go through various health issues, it seems more important than ever to spend time with them when I can.

But of course, I can’t help but think about all of the FOOD!  Sorry, but I’m not going to be eating healthy this year.  This is going to be my day to feast!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…we’ve been checking Open Houses to buy in the city.  Yes, I want to be a homeowner!  We’re still in the very early stages right now…we don’t have a realtor yet, but we’re looking at a couple of neighborhoods that I think would be great for us.  A few weeks ago we saw an AMAZING home that was absolutely perfect.  So I know there’s a house for us….stay tuned!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…work is going pretty well!  I’m still adjusting to the office life, but I really have no complaints right now.  We’re hitting a very important deadline on the project, so that’s going to make this coming week very interesting.  I’m still in the “calm before the storm”, but I’m just trying to do my best to keep up, understand all the aspects of the business.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…that I’m really excited about training for spring races!  Now that I know I’ll be doing the Credit Union Cherry Blossom, I Have to make decisions on what other races I’m doing.  It looks like I’ll also be doing the Philly Love Run Half Marathon, but I’m also considering training for my first marathon this spring….any recommendations?  What are you racing this spring?

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  What would you share with me over coffee?
