I’m so looking forward to catching up with you!
It’s the first Saturday of the month, meaning that it’s time for the Ultimate Coffee Date, hosted by Coco, Deborah, and Lynda! Go to any of their sites to see what everyone’s posting, it’s a great way to get to know other bloggers!
The last Ultimate Coffee Date of the year! Let's catch up! #ultimatecoffeedate Click To TweetIf we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’m really taking this running offseason seriously. I’m so grateful to have had a very successful and complete year of running, the first that I’ve had in 3 years! I’ll be sharing my plans for 2016 in an upcoming post, but the one thing I know is that I MUST work on hip strength, core strength, and muscle imbalances so that I can continue to be injury-free!
I had my first run since the Annapolis Classic Half Marathon on Friday, and I have to admit it was tough! Nearly 2 weeks had passed, the longest running break I had since…July? My goal is to run twice a week and spend the rest of the week on strength.
So it’s perfect that City Fit Girls is hosting a challenge called December Strong. Check it out and share your workouts on Instagram with hashtags #DecemberStrong and #cityfitgirls to win a FREE race entry in 2016!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’m a BibRave Pro Ambassador for 2016! Have you ever checked out BibRave? It’s like the Yelp for races – runners can leave an honest review of their racing experiences and leave helpful tips. I’ve been a user for several months now (I still need to leave a review for my last race!), and it’s a great site. They also have Twitter Chats every Tuesday at 9 pm called #bibchat where different sponsors are featured and you can win prizes. Being a BibRave Pro Ambassador means I’ll be able to review products, run races, and share my experiences with you. I’m looking forward to being part of a new running community!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’m also going to be a Zooma Ambassador in 2016! You may remember that I ran the Zooma Annapolis 10K earlier this year and I had an awesome experience. I won’t be heading back to Annapolis in 2016, but I’m looking at running the half marathon in Cape Cod in September! It really is like a dream come true! So many of my blogger friends are ambassadors this year, and I can’t wait to get to know them better and hopefully meet!
What’s really exciting is that I’ll be able to share a discount code with you to use when you sign up for any Zooma race next year! Stay tuned! Gosh, I’m really starting to feel like somebody, haha!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I am NOT in Christmas mode at all this year. It’s already the first week of December, and I haven’t bought anyone anything yet. Maybe that’s why I just couldn’t be bothered with creating a runner’s gift guide on the blog?
It seems like this happens every other year…I’m not a Scrooge, but maybe the barrage of emails I get each day for deals has turned me off (since when did Cyber Monday last a week?!). The materialism of the holidays has gotten out of hand. I’m looking forward to going down to Maryland to spend the holiday with my sister and hanging out with my brother and nephews in Virginia. Bret will be in Nebraska with his family. I just want to have a good meal, some delicious cookies, and gain new memories. Keep it simple!
What would you share with me over coffee?
