As awesome as it is to be in the “off-season” for running, at some point, it’s time to get back to a consistent running routine and start preparing for the next racing season. Enter the ZOOMA Run Love Challenge!
The ZOOMA Run Love 5K/10K Challenge starts up on January 4, 2016…but the time to sign up is now!
While it’s only Monday, I’m linking up this week for Wild Workout Wednesday with Annmarie at The Fit Foodie Mama, Angelena Marie at Angelena Marie: Happy, Healthy & Balanced, Michelle at Fruition Fitness, and Nicole at Fitful Focus!
I mentioned a few weeks ago that I’ve been selected to be a ZOOMA Race Ambassador in 2016! I’m so excited to be a part of this awesome group of women – I’ve already gotten to know a few of the ZOOMA Ambassadors, and we are all full of such enthusiasm and ready to support each other in the New Year!
There will be 3 ZOOMA races this year in the following cities:
But the first ZOOMA event of the year is the Run Love Challenge! This virtual race will take place on Valentine’s Day wherever you are, and you have the option to sign up to run a 5K or 10K!
The great thing about the challenge is that you get a TON of great perks! Participants receive:
You get all of this great value for $50. Sign Up Today! I’ll be participating in the challenge by running a 10K. My boyfriend and I normally have a special vacation on Valentine’s weekend, so wherever we go, I plan to run it there!
If you have any questions about the ZOOMA Run Love Challenge, let me know! Again, the challenge begins on Monday, January 4!
Tuesday 12/15: Core Fusion Class at lunch. As usual, it was pretty challenging. Bridges on an exercise ball are intense! I know it’s so important to get my core back in good condition.
Wednesday 12/16: It was an extremely long day at work – I clocked in at 6:10 am and clocked out at 7:30 pm. I planned to run with a new group that night, but that clearly went out the window! I was so exhausted when I got home, there was no working out.
Thursday 12/17: I finally went on a 3-mile run after work, but on a treadmill since it was a rainy day. It was a struggle. My plan to stay fit in the off-season is to run twice a week, but I’m worried that it won’t be enough.
Friday 12/18: Abs and squats challenge: 60 crunches, 65 squats. I also did 30 clamshells on each leg – can’t neglect the hips!
Saturday 12/19: A lovely 6 mile run first thing in the morning. It was great to be out there again, and I was pleasantly surprised that my pace increased with each mile! I did knock out 65 squats during the day as well.
Sunday 12/20: Abs and squats challenge: 20 sit-ups, 20 crunches, 25 squats.
