Weekly Meal Plan for 1/10/16

How was your first full week of 2016?  Hopefully, you’re still sticking to all the good habits that you want to maintain in the new year!

One of my main goals this year is to be more consistent with my weekly meal plan.  Sharing my plan here on the blog is a way for me not only to be more accountable but to hopefully encourage you to try some new ideas in the kitchen too!

Running Club Roundup: Black Girls Run Laurel

How have your running goals been shaking out so far?

I’m excited, I’m motivated and getting things done with the start of 2016, and I’m loving it.  I’ve also got the spark back for running, and looking forward to getting stronger this winter!

ZOOMA Run Love Training Begins!

Are you still in a fitness rut?  Trying to get motivated to work out, but the cold weather is keeping you under the covers?

I was getting pretty close to that point over the past few weeks, but now I’m so relieved that the ZOOMA Run Love 10K training has started this week!  Even though I’ve shared how to stay fit in the running off-season, it can be really tough to keep up the motivation.  Sometimes an official training plan is necessary sooner rather than later!

New Year’s Resolutions for 2016

I hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed counting down to midnight and entering 2016!

I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about New Year’s Resolutions by now, and you may already be rolling your eyes and annoyed by all the newbies packed in your local gym!

I actually love starting fresh on January 1, but creating large, broad resolutions is NOT the way to go.  Deborah from Confessions of a Mother Runner wrote a great post on why New Year’s Resolutions don’t work that I highly recommend.

How about creating specific goals instead of vague, ambitious resolutions? Starting a new year is a great time to evaluate the previous year and come up with a plan to conquer your biggest goals in various areas of your life.  So I thought I’d share with you, like I did in 2014 and 2015, my goals for 2016!
