Happy New Year!! We’ve made it 2016! I’m so excited to start a new year and get to work on so many goals, which I’ll be sharing with you next week!
Since it’s the first Saturday of the month, I’m linking up with the Ultimate Coffee Date, hosted by Coco, Deborah, and Lynda! It’s a fun way to share what’s going on in your life and get to know other bloggers, so check them out!
How was your Xmas and New Year's? Let's catch up with the #ultimatecoffeedate! #sweatpink Click To TweetIf we were having coffee, I’d tell you…Christmas was great! Apparently my Christmas wish list was read by my family because I received some super cute work clothes from The Limited, a Kate Spade Planner, and a new running belt, among other wonderful gifts! My sister did a wonderful job hosting me for the weekend and we had so much fun watching a lot of Harry Potter, seeing Concussion (it was pretty good), and eating lots of cookies (no regrets!). On Christmas day, we went to my brother’s and had a delicious Christmas brunch featuring chicken and Star Wars waffles and mimosas. Good times!
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…I’m really excited to organize my life in planner form, but it’s a bit overwhelming too. The Kate Spade Planner will be full of all of my everyday activities: running, working out, meal planning, social activities, errands. It’s been fun creating a color-coding system and writing instead of typing things out, so I know that it’ll work perfectly for me! I also bought myself a blogging-specific planner from Wonderlass called the Blog + Life Planner, and it’s awesome! There’s space in the blog to brainstorm, reflect on your progress each month, and keep track of expenses and social media stats! But it’s overwhelming because I have SO much that I want to review and work on these next few months that it’s tough to know where to start! As it starts to fill up, I’ll share how it’s worked for me with a review on the blog!

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…New Year’s Eve was really nice! I had a full day of work, but in the evening Bret and I had one of the best dinners we’ve had all year at Heritage, a fantastic new restaurant that features live jazz music every night and has not only Jazz Brunch on Saturday but Bluegrass Brunch on Sunday! Everything we ate was fantastic, and you really got your money’s worth with perfect portion sizes! We also went to a party at a friend’s house, playing games and drinking champagne at midnight!
How was your holiday? What would you share with me over coffee?
