Are you ready for the weekend? I’m so happy that it’s here!
Since it’s the first Saturday of the month, I’m linking up with the Ultimate Coffee Date, hosted by Coco, Deborah, and Lynda! It’s a fun way to share what’s going on in your life and get to know other bloggers, so check them out!
I’m also linking up with Tricia and HoHo for the Weekly Wrap!
What's new in your life? Let's catch up over coffee! #ultimatecoffeedate #sweatpink Click To TweetIf we were having coffee, I would tell you…that giving up drinking alcohol for Lent has gone very well so far. I have had a few social situations where it was disappointing that I couldn’t drink, but it wasn’t as “disastrous” as I thought it would be. I must admit though that I’m tired of drinking ginger ale! And I had a non-alcoholic beer at a restaurant one night and it was awful! But the best thing is that I’m loving that I’m saving a lot of money, even if I get a $2-3 drink instead of a $6-$10 beer or cocktail.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I went to Penn’s Basketball Homecoming last weekend, the last home game of the season. What started out as an exciting game against Columbia quickly turned into a blowout. The bright side of it was that I had a wonderful time with my former Penn Bandmates (aka Bandos) who traveled from out of town for the game. They brought up a lot of fun memories, especially from the long road trips and going to NCAA tournament games (Penn used to make it almost every year…until 2007. They’ve stunk ever since). My biggest regret was that I didn’t join the band until sophomore or junior year.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I was really looking forward to playing softball starting this month, but now I don’t think it’s happening. We didn’t have enough people to re-form our team from the fall, so everyone has to sign up as a free agent. I’m nervous about that because I’ll easily be the worst person on any team, and I don’t want to have my potential teammates resent me. I’ve got enough on my plate with running anyway…maybe I’ll just come out to support Bret and sub as needed. Company softball will be coming back, so I am looking forward to that!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…blogging continues to keep me busy, but I’m wondering if I have enough drive to reach the goals that I set at the beginning of the year. I set some pretty aggressive blogging goals for the year, mainly increasing traffic, growing followers, guest posting, and some other projects. If I’m being honest…I don’t think I’m quite on track. Fortunately, I just signed up for the Blog Connect Conference hosted by the PHLBloggers on April 16! I hope that it’ll give me the spark that I need! If you blog, how do you stay motivated?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…life as a running ambassador has been extremely exciting! If we were having coffee, I would tell you…house shopping is ongoing! Things are a bit quiet right now, but we did see two homes in West Mt. Airy a couple of weeks ago that had just about everything we wanted but are completely different from each other! It really would have been hard to choose between those two homes – both are on nice blocks, have a deck and backyard, plenty of space, and a fireplace! I think as we enter spring, more houses will be on the market and things will get busy again. I can’t wait to find that perfect house!
What would you share with me over coffee?
