Have you started thinking about fall races yet?  It seems too soon and yet, my race calendar continues to fill up!  I love running in the fall and it’s the perfect time of the year to shoot for PR’s after dealing with the crazy summer heat!

5 Reasons to Run The Perfect 10 Miler

Organized by CGI Racing, the Perfect 10 Miler is a race weekend celebration from October 22-23, 2016 and takes place in Mercer, New Jersey!  I am so happy to announce that I have been selected as a Perfect 10 Miler Ambassador for this year’s race!  I recently had a fantastic experience working with CGI Racing as an Ambassador for the Love Run Half Marathon so I’m so happy to get to promote another awesome race on their behalf!

This will be my first time running the race (and as I recently mentioned, I love getting to try as many new/different races as possible).  Here are just 5 reasons why you should run it too!

1 – It’s An All Women’s Race

Sorry fellas, but this race is for the ladies!  The Perfect 10 Miler is the largest all-women 10 miler in the country with about 5,000 runners each year.  Having had the opportunity to run an all women’s race last year, I have to admit that there really is nothing like it!  It inspires me to see women on the course of all ages, races, shapes and sizes.

You can sign up for this 3 different ways:

• Individual Registration
• Bosom Buddy Relay – you and a partner each run 5 miles on the 10-mile course.
• Daughter Dash – a 1-mile run/walk for the little ladies aged 5-13.  It takes place on Saturday, October 22.

You can also join a team as long as you have at least 20 members.  They get lots of great perks including their own tents and a few extra free race entries! Create your own team or join a team for charity!

2 – The Course Is Awesome

The Perfect 10 Mile course runs through Mercer County Park so you’ll have awesome scenery and fall foliage to admire with an overall flat terrain.  Sometimes road races are fun, but other times, I really prefer running with a little bit more peace and quiet!  I’m really looking forward to it!

3 – There’s a Pre-Race Pampering Party

The Saturday before the race, there’s a really cool pampering party for participants!  There will be yoga and barre training sessions, massages, makeovers by Clinique, and plenty of shopping opportunities!  It’s a great way to relax before the big race day!

4 – You Get Great Swag

Who doesn’t love swag?  It should be no surprise that you’ll get an awesome medal but you’ll also get a lightweight hoodie and vanity bib!  Teams that register can also get a limited edition branded pint glass!
