When you work out in shorts, do you ever have discomfort or chafing issues? I have to admit that I have the past couple of years. It’s not a fun experience!
That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to try out the Zensah Well Rounded Shorts thanks to Bibrave, and these shorts promised to be comfortable, breathable, and anti-chafing. After a few weeks of use, I thought I’d share my experience with you!

Zensah Well Rounded Shorts
The Zensah Well Rounded Shorts is brand new fitness apparel specifically designed for women. Here are the key features and specs:
- Anti-Microbial
- Seamless Technology
- Anti-Chafing (my personal favorite)
- Ultra lightweight fabric provides soft, smooth and amazing feel!
- Wide waistband for flattering fit without digging in
- Moisture wicking and anti-odor proprietary fabric
Zensah is already very well-known for high-quality performance clothing and compression products, but this was the first time I’ve actually tried any of their products.
Here’s a little bit more background on the Zensah brand:
Zensah was created to help athletes at all levels improve their performance by utilizing innovative sportswear made with cutting edge technology.
Zensah’s revolutionary seamless design consists of an ultra-breathable, moisture wicking fabric that draws sweat away from the body, allowing the garment and athlete to stay cool, dry and light. Zensah, the pioneer of graduated compression apparel, has created revolutionary seamless sportswear designed as a true second-skin fit, giving the athlete greater performance, comfort and mobility.
Our technology has allowed us to create groundbreaking products and enhance our athletes’ performances not only in training but more importantly in competition.
Wearing the Shorts

I was so excited when my pair of shorts came in the mail a few weeks ago! We were heading to Nebraska for a few days for Bret’s friend’s wedding, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to test out the Zensah Well Rounded Shorts since I was long overdue for a few training runs!
I ordered a size medium to ensure that I’d have the proper coverage (not to mention my days of being a size small below the waist are LONG gone!). They fit snugly, but not too tight.
My first run in the shorts was about 4 miles long, followed by a nearly 7 mile run the next day. The weather was hot in Nebraska and I was getting a really good sweat, but I never had any chafing issues! The shorts didn’t ride up during my runs either, at least not in any noticeable way. I have worn similar running shorts in the past that were about the same length and could never say the same.
I also wore these shorts at the gym. They were still very comfortable to wear and sweat-wicking, which is always appreciated. After a few washes, I was worried about the shorts possibly shrinking, but thankfully that wasn’t an issue.
Takeaways

I really enjoyed wearing the Zensah Well Rounded shorts and they are now a proud part of my running clothing collection! I haven’t been running as frequently these days since the Broad Street Run, but now that I’ll be getting back in training mode, I know that the Well Rounded Shorts will be oh-so-necessary during those long runs!
Some reviewers had less than favorable experiences with the shorts, either with the fit or the sheerness of the material, but that was never an issue with me. My only “complaint” would be that they are very short and could possibly leave very little to the imagination! To be honest, I was feeling a little self-conscious when I wore them in the gym, so I think I’d be more comfortable sticking to wearing these on the run!
Regardless, I highly recommend these shorts to wear while using cardio equipment in the gym or out on the running trail. They are durable, high quality, and deliver on their promises!
Which color of well rounded shorts do you like best?

Thank you for linking up! I love the color of these shorts!
They are too cute and really great to wear on a run. Glad I could link up!
Those look cute on you! Did not even know they had shorts
Thanks! This is one of their newer products. Definitely worth trying out!
I really love the color, that isn’t one you see often in compression gear!
I love that it’s a little different!
ooh, I like those shorts! And you shouldn’t feel self conscious at all. You look great in them!
Aw, thanks, Wendy!
Those are cute on you! I love that companies that used to be just compression socks/sleeves are branching out to other gear… I was just thinking during my run yesterday that I could use a pair of shorts with some compression. I like the colors offered for the Zensah shorts, but they look a little short for me. Hopefully they’ll come out with a mid-thigh pair someday!
Katie, that’s a good point! I believe Zensah does have some compression shorts on the market. Yeah, the length is usually a big deal for me since I don’t like showing off my thighs to everyone, haha! But these are really well made shorts.
super cute! Look like they’d also be great for spin class, too!
Great idea, Sarah! Yes, I think they’d be great for a spin class!
Those shorts are great and you look fantastic! I would definitely wear a pair of those!
I’m glad you like them, Sandra! 🙂
Thanks for the review! I was wondering if they were sheer, since they looked so thin in the first picture, so thanks for talking about the fabric! I’m a volleyball player first, and runner second, and it’s so crazy to me that the shorts aren’t interchangeable! Since you said these were on the short side, I’m curious as to whether I could wear them for volleyball.
Hmmm, I could see them working well for volleyball! I wish I could play, I’m absolutely terrible! I definitely think we need more interchangeable workout clothing!
I love the color and think they look great on you ! I also like that you can use them for running or at the gym. Thanks for the great review.
Glad you like the review, and thanks!
Great review Janelle. The shorts look like they’re comfortable. That’s not always the case especially with running.
SO true, Jill! Thanks! I love that I don’t have to worry about chafing with these shorts!
