Philly Marathon Training Week 13 and October Monthly Goal Recap

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | training

The year continues to fly by and October is coming to an end.  Happy Halloween for those who celebrate!

I’ve really enjoyed this month and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m sad that it’s almost wrapped up.  Marathon training has been going really well, but I’m still nervous about the big day getting closer – less than 3 weeks to go!

Over the past few months, I’ve been sharing my monthly goals when it comes to running and healthy living.  It’s that time again to reflect on October and look ahead to November! And just like any other Monday, I’m giving a recap of my latest week of Philly marathon training.

I’m also joining Ange and Carmy for the Monthly Goals Linkup, Marcia, Patty, and Erika for Tuesdays on the Run, and Hoho Runs and Miss Sippi Piddlin for the Weekly Wrap!

I'm training for my very first marathon, the Philly Marathon! Check out my weekly recap of my running and working out and find more running tips at runwithnoregrets.com!

2016 Perfect 10 Miler Race Recap

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | race recap

How do you feel about running a race without specific time goals?

I’ve noticed a little bit of discussion about this topic lately, particularly Michelle from Fruition Fitness’s post on How to Run for Fun.  It’s funny how this is a lot harder than you would think!  Even if you’re not the fastest runner out there (and you know that I’m not!), you sometimes can’t help but compete against yourself.

Last weekend, I raced the Perfect 10 Miler and this was the opportunity to not worry about my pace and  just be in the moment and enjoy myself.  After having a disappointing performance in the very humid Rock ‘N Roll Philly Half Marathon in September, I wanted to get out of my head and take what the day gave me.  Thankfully, in the end, I ended up having a great race!  Let me tell you all about it!

Disclaimer:  I am a 2016 Perfect 10 Miler Ambassador, meaning that my race registration was free.  As always, my opinions are completely honest!

Check out my review of the @perfect10miler last weekend! An awesome all women's race! #runchat #sweatpink Click To Tweet

On October 23, 2016 I ran the Perfect 10 Miler in Mercer County, NJ for the first time. It's a fantastic fall race and it's the largest women's 10 miler in the country! Check out my recap and more running resources at runwithnoregrets.com!

Philly Marathon Training Week 12 Recap

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | training

Are we really 4 weeks into October?  It seems like this month is flying by too!

Special hello to my Grow Your Blog Hop visitors!  I’m very excited to be featured today and hope you get to know me a little bit better!  I participated in the blog hop last year and wrote a post introducing who I am if you’d like to check it out!  In that post, I dig a little deeper and talk about my running journey and the reason that I created Run With No Regrets.

Today is Monday and every Monday I share a recap of the previous week’s race training.  I’m currently training for the Philadelphia Marathon that’s taking place on November 20.  While I’ve been running long distance for over 5 years, this will be my very first marathon, so it’s been a very exciting adventure!

I’m linking up with Tricia and HoHo for the Weekly Wrap.  Dozens of women participate and share their successes and trials in the world of fitness and healthy living.  Be sure to check it out!
