I hope you’re having a great week so far!  The end of the year just keeps coming closer!

I’m excited to share some news – there’s a new blogger linkup in town!  Kimberly of KookyRunner, Steff of Run Steff Run and I will be hosting the Tunes Tuesday Linkup starting on Tuesday, January 3rd!  We want to connect with other bloggers while sharing our love for music and giving a little inspiration for your running and workout playlists.  Keep reading to find out how to join us!

If you're a runner looking for music inspiration, check out the Tunes Tuesday linkup!

Tunes Tuesday Linkup Begins January 3, 2017!

I’ve always been a music lover, but it seems that in this past year, I’ve really found my love for music again.  If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that I yearn for the past and have had a great time creating and sharing Throwback Thursday playlists highlighting music that I loved in the 90’s and early 2000’s!

So I was really excited and honored that Kimberly reached out to me about joining her and Steff for their new Tunes Tuesday linkup!  Clearly, my music tastes are a little stale, so I love that I’ll get the opportunity to be introduced to new (to me) music while connecting with others!

The Rules:

  1. Write your post on the topic of the week. You can also include a playlist focusing on the week’s topic!
  2. Link back to KookyRunner, Run Steff Run and Run With No Regrets. Make sure you mention the link up, you never know who is reading and would love to join in on the fun!
  3. Add your link to the link up at one of our blogs.   Please remember to post the link to your actual post and not just your blog, it makes things a lot easier!
  4. Make sure you visit the other posts in the linkup and leave a comment! This is about building a community and showing the other bloggers how much you appreciate them joining the link up!

For this specific link up we will operate on a four-week schedule. Each week will have a specific theme. You can take the theme any way you choose, be creative and just have fun with it!

  • First Tuesday – Motivation Music (Music that inspires you)
  • Second Tuesday – Random Music (One-Hit Wonders, Dance Songs – you get the point)
  • Third Tuesday – Pump Up Music (Fast-paced jams that get your heart pumping!)
  • Fourth Tuesday – Your Current Favorite Music (Favorite song, band, music artist or type of music)
  • In a month with five Tuesdays, we’ll have a free week!

Workouts for the Week:

Since it’s been a little while since I’ve shared my workouts, I thought I’d look back on the last several days!

Monday 12/12:  Went for a quick 2-mile run on the treadmill at lunch, then had a really intense spin class after work.  I thoroughly enjoyed myself!

Tuesday 12/13:  Yoga class at CorePower Yoga, a relatively new yoga studio in Philly.  I’ll be doing a post about my visit there very soon!  I really enjoyed the class.

Wednesday 12/14:  An hour of yoga class at lunch and 4 miles in Chestnut Hill in the evening.  Yoga class was nice but my run was really tough!

Thursday 12/15:  No workouts, I felt I needed a rest after a busy Wednesday.

Friday 12/16:  No workouts.

Saturday 12/17:  No workouts.  I was in NYC for the weekend

Sunday 12/18:  Tired from our travels, I didn’t work out.

Monday 12/19:  Spin class after work.  The workout was the same as the previous week but felt a lot tougher!

Core Power Yoga Rittenhouse

I had a great time with CorePower Yoga!

I’m linking up with Patty, Marcia, and Erika for Tuesdays on the Run and Hoho and Tricia for the Weekly Wrap! I’m also joining Susie, Debbie, Lora, and Rachel for the Running Coaches Corner, and  Annmarie, Nicole, Jen, and Michelle for Wild Workout Wednesday!

What are your favorite types of music?   Do you listen to music when you run or work out?
