Welcome to the first weekend of 2017! I hope these first few days of the year have gone great for you!
Since it’s the first Saturday of the month, I’m joining Coco and Deborah for the Ultimate Coffee Date! While this is a running blog, sometimes it’s refreshing to just talk about everyday life!
So have a seat, grab a virtual cup, and let’s get to chatting!
It's time to join the #ultimatecoffeedate linkup! What's new in your world these days? Click To TweetIf we were having coffee, I would tell you… that Bret and I had a pretty nice New Year’s Eve. We went to dinner at a local Italian restaurant and had a night cap before heading home…just in time to see Mariah Carey’s “performance” and the ball drop. It wasn’t MC’s singing that disappointed me but her lack of professionalism. I’ve been in the performing arts and one of the first things I learned is that you never let the audience know there was a mistake! In any event, I got one last good laugh to end 2016!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that we have 2 kittens and we love them so much! A few weeks ago, there was a notice online that cats for adoption would be available at a local pet supply shop. I didn’t find out about the event until that day, but I’m so glad that we went because we met some of THE cutest kittens! Our two kitties, Rocket (formerly Tinkerbell) and Rosie, were in a cage together, curled up asleep and wearing little Christmas outfits. We instantly fell in love and decided we would adopt…and the rest is history! They are both about 5 months old now, super sweet, but full of energy! We absolutely adore them, so I hope to share some fun cat adventures on my Instagram!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that running has been really hard for me lately. I haven’t had a long run since my visit to Savannah, GA in early December and at this point I can barely handle 4 miles. How the heck did I fall off the wagon so quickly? I’m hoping that this is just a temporary rut and that I get my mojo back as soon as possible! I have a free 2-week trial of coaching with Laura from This Runner’s Recipes and I get started on Monday, so I’m really excited to work with her!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I’ve been featured on Jill’s blog at Run Eat Snap! Every Friday, Jill features runners on her blog with all different walks of life. I would appreciate it if you dropped by and checked it out! I think you guys know I love talking about running, but sometimes these types of interviews make me realize how much I’ve been able to accomplish…I’m just so grateful.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I bought the Passion Planner! I’m so excited and I don’t know why I didn’t buy it sooner. I haven’t received it yet, but I can’t wait for it to get here, not only to help organize my blogging but for everything else too! Right now I use a lot of different apps and calendars to remind myself to get certain tasks done, but it’s not very efficient. I started following their Instagram page and I’m already getting inspired on how to make this new planner work for me! So many goals, so many plans!
What would you share with me over coffee?
