Need some motivation music for work? Check out my picks for this week's #tunestuesday! #runchat Click To TweetOver the past week, I was in Kansas City for the annual convention of the National Society of Black Engineers. It was an amazing event full of professionals, college students, and even grade school students getting professional development and technical training, presenting research, participating in robotics competitions, and so much more! Plus there was lots of great networking opportunities with some brilliant minds and aspiring leaders.
I attended a few workshops that were VERY enlightening and so needed at a time when my personal motivation in the workplace has been a little lower than usual. Now that I’m back to work, I’m charged up and motivated to be the best me – and what better way to get inspired and motivated than listening to music? Okay, there are definitely better ways to get inspired, but these worked great for me!
Check out the few tunes below that are getting me motivated in the workplace! Be sure to share your favorites too!
I love Fort Minor and really wish they put out another album. The chorus of this song is perfect: “10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% reason to remember the name”.
Talk about going throwback! Patti LaBelle is amazing, and since I’m feeling like I have a new attitude lately, this song is perfect!
This song always gets me energized! The instrumental is great and the lyrics really capture the type of swagger I’m seeking in life, LOL! “A little bit of humble, little bit of cautious”
For this specific link up we will operate on a four-week schedule. Each week will have a specific theme. You can take the theme any way you choose, be creative and just have fun with it!
I’m also linking up with Marcia, Patty, and Erika for Tuesdays on the Run!
