Tunes Tuesday: Random Songs from Royksopp

Tunes Tuesday comes around so quick, it’s hard to believe we’re back again!  But you know me, I’ve always got some interesting music to share, so check it out!

The Tunes Tuesday linkup is hosted by Steff from Run Steff Run,  Kimberly from Kooky Runner, and me!  We’d love you to link up with us and share your favorites.  The theme for the second Tuesday is to be as random as possible, so I’m going with some of my favorite songs from Royksopp, a pretty cool band that I’ve liked for years but is admittedly very random!  Maybe you’ll find some new songs to add to your workout playlist!

And in case you missed it – here are my previous random music playlists:

• Why You Should Listen to Santigold
• American Idol Love Songs
• R&B Dance Favorites
• Random One Hit Wonders

Tunes Tuesday:  Random Songs from Royksopp

The first time I heard Royksopp was featured in a Geico commercial.  Does anyone else remember this?

After I heard this song, I was really interested in learning more about their music and I’m pretty sure I found their Myspace page (yes, I’m dating myself) and got hooked!  Royksopp is a Norwegian electronic music duo and their music ranges from very chill/cerebral to more upbeat, and they tend to feature a variety of solo vocalists.  I find them great to listen to, and every album that they’ve put out has its own identity but still very signature style.  They also have some really creative music videos!

I’m guessing that I’m introducing a lot of you to Royksopp’s music, so check out this Spotify Playlist with some of their most popular tunes and I’ll share some of my favorite tunes below!  I hope you enjoy this week’s random selection for Tunes Tuesday!
