Keeping your head protected while on the run is extremely important.  Running caps can help protect your eyes and skin from the sun and keep you dry from sweat and wet weather.  I’m excited to share my review of the new BUFF ® Pack Run Cap with you – you just might want to add this to your running gear collection!

BUFF® Pack Run Cap Review

I was really excited when I got the opportunity to test out the brand new BUFF® Pack Run Cap!  I’ve previously been able to test the UV Reflective Half BUFF® and I’m a huge fan!  Normally, I’m more of a headband gal when it comes to running gear, but lately, I’ve been giving running caps a closer look.  The best ones are practical, yet stylish…and the new BUFF® Pack Run Cap delivers.

Ultralight and ultra smart, the BUFF® Pack Run Cap is built to go the distance. Super streamlined, exceptionally light and highly compressible, it’s comfortable for the long-haul, but can easily be folded and rolled to stash in a pocket. The four panel design and stretch materials hug the head for a secure fit that doesn’t bind, while a low profile sweatband provides moisture control without added bulk, and the polyester materials wick away perspiration. The crushable polyurethane brim snaps back to shape and combines with the UPF protective materials for sun protection on long races and extended training days.

Wearing the BUFF® Pack Run Cap

So far, I’ve gone out wearing this cap a couple of times on my run.  Both times, the weather was very warm and either very sunny or very humid.  The best thing about this cap is how well it wicks away sweat!  I had a real slog of a long run a couple of weeks ago, and my pack run cap was the driest out of all my running clothes, and I always wear gear with technical fabric!

I also love how stylish these hats are.  It was really hard for me to choose which design I wanted to try…I kept going back and forth between the Jam Lime and the Meeko Multi.  You really can’t go wrong!  I also like the solid designs because they are a bit easier to match with your running outfits.  BUFF® has so many different types of gear worth checking out online, and you can find a variety of colors and patterns to mix and match!

Unfortunately, the cap is a little bit too snug of a fit for my thick hair, and I also have the misfortune of having a pretty large head (seriously), so I did have to worry about the cap riding up around or even flying off of my head while running.  I’ll definitely wear this hat more regularly when I have my hair styled in twists or other ways that give my hair a lot less volume!  I showed Bret the running cap and asked him to try it on, but he’d kill me if I shared the picture, lol! I think the solid colors would look pretty nice on male runners!

My takeaways:  The BUFF Pack Run Cap looks good, works great, and is definitely worth trying out, but if you have a big head like me, you may have a very snug fit!
