If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for a healthy snack.    I’ve tried making products from scratch, but I’m a pretty lazy cook – so having something easy to grab on the go is a necessity.   I have tried so many different brands but was never satisfied – either they were too sweet, too chalky, or too expensive.  But I think I’ve finally found a keeper with the Health Warrior Chia Bars!  Keep reading to check out my review!

Health Warrior Chia Bars Review

health-warrior-brands

So who is Health Warrior?  They are a superfood brand with a fantastic mission:

Better health starts with the right ingredients, which is why the first one in all of our products is a superfood – the most nourishing food on the planet. Our products combine these powerful ingredients in a way that tastes awesome and actually fits into the pace of real life. After all, healthy food can’t do its job if you don’t actually eat it.

Health Warrior makes Pumpkin Seed Bars, Chia Protein Bars, and Chia Seed Bars.  I’ve actually had a sample of the Pumpkin Seed Bars and they are delicious as well!

Health Warrior Chia Bar Features

My favorite mid-morning snack!

So what makes Health Warrior’s chia bars so healthy?  Just look at the nutrition facts!   They are 100% vegan, soy free, dairy free, gluten-free, and non-GMO!  At only 100 calories, the chia bars are also low in sugar and high in omega-3’s and fiber.

And did you know this about chia?

Ounce for ounce chia has more protein than an egg, more omega-3s than salmon, more fiber than flax, more calcium than milk, and more magnesium than broccoli.  Chia seeds absorb up to 10x their weight in water so you only need 100 calories to feel full. It’s mini but mighty!

I’ve always wanted to incorporate more chia seeds into my diet – they are definitely one of my favorite superfoods!

The Chia Bars come in 10 different flavors:  Acai Berry, Apple Cinnamon, Banana Nut, Caramel Sea Salt (NEW), Chocolate Peanut Butter, Coconut, Dark Chocolate Cherry, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Almond, and Mango.  I received the Apple Cinnamon and Dark Chocolate bars to sample, and while they are both delicious, Apple Cinnamon is my favorite!  The sample pack is a great way to try them all and find out which is your favorite!  I’d love to get my hands on the Banana Nut and Dark Chocolate Cherry!

Do You Like to Color?

What’s really fun about Health Warrior is that they have created a Marathon Training Coloring Book that I also had the chance to try out!  If you flip through the pages, you can see that the highlights (and lowlights of marathon training) are documented from A-Z!  I can definitely relate to more than a few of the pages!   Unfortunately, I have to admit that I’m not gifted with colored pencils!  In high school global studies, we used to have assignments where had to color maps of various countries and I used to get my mom to do the coloring for me, lol!  But whether you’re a coloring goddess or not, it’s still a lot of fun!  Use this link to get a free coloring book with your order of  Health Warrior Chia Bars!

Get Your Own Bars!

If you’re interested in trying them out for yourself, the Health Warrior Chia Bars are $15.99 for 15 bars or $16.99 for a 16-ct. Sampler Box!  You can also find them available at Whole Foods, Amazon, Target, Safeway, and a few other grocery stores.  I highly recommend giving them a try.  I am down to my last few bars and I’m sad – I need to restock ASAP!  I have finally found a reasonably priced healthy snack that I can keep at work and at home…and I’m hooked!
