If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that Bret and I enjoyed a pretty low-key Thanksgiving this year. How did you celebrate? Unlike last year where we hosted the family, this time we went to Bret’s sister’s place in NYC and had a really nice time. Surprisingly, I didn’t overdo it on the gravy and sweets! But most of the holiday weekend was spent lounging, watching Christmas movies, and going on a couple of nice runs. I didn’t get any shopping done despite all the crazy deals…but I’ve got plenty of time, right?
Had an awesome yet challenging 5 mile run with Bret in Valley Forge National Park. We ran through fields, the woods, and along a hill that felt like a mountain! I’ve never run here so it was great to explore somewhere new! The wind was pretty disrespectful though, lol! Hope you all have been enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend…I didnt eat nearly enough food! 🦃🍷 #valleyforge #fallrunning #sweatpink #RWNR #runhappy #trailrunning
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…how much I love the holidays! As I mentioned last month, work has been SO busy, but thankfully, things have calmed down significantly just in the nick of time! I still have too many meetings, but we’re making good progress on my project so I feel good about things. But back to “real life”, December is shaping up to be really fun with lots of parties and family time! I really have to keep my calendar updated because there’s so much to do. Hopefully, we will get our Christmas tree this weekend!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that wedding planning has become much more real since we got engaged in September! I’ve been building my list of bridal shops to visit, trying to finalize which places to register (Bed Bath & Beyond? Macy’s? I’m open to suggestions!), and we’ve been visiting venues! Thank you to the Google gods for create a template spreadsheet for wedding planning to keep me organized! I’m not feeling overwhelmed yet…but the vision is slowly coming together and people better like it, ha!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I finally watched the season finale of Queen Sugar and oh man…I forgot how much I love this show! Now I have to see what other shows to dive into….Bret and I can never agree on a show that interests us both – he likes the serious/historical/documentary shows, while I enjoy good dramas that are more modern and less creepy, haha! And now we can’t even crack up to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia since they’re taking it off Netflix! Any recommendations?
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that next Tuesday is Tunes Tuesday and it’s all about Christmas music in December!
