Hey hey! I hope you’re having a great day and looking forward to an awesome weekend!
The month of June is almost in the rearview mirror, and since it’s the last Friday of the month, it’s time to join Marcia for Runfessions! Since I’ve been dealing with plantar fasciitis, unofficially for months, and officially for a couple of weeks, I’ve got plenty to runfess so I figured I”d dedicate this blog post to my feelings about it!
As a runner, taking care of your feet is ESSENTIAL. And yet, it often seems to find its way near the bottom of the priority list. Since I’m currently dealing with plantar fasciitis after a long marathon training cycle, let’s say that I’ve truly learned this lesson the hard way – don’t neglect your feet!
The good news is that with the proper stretches, icing, and arch support, I seem to have a pretty positive prognosis. One element that is absolutely helping in my recovery is OOFOS Oolala Sandals. I already owned a pair of OOFOS OOriginal sandals that I purchased after falling in love with the OOFOS OOmg Recovery Shoes that I reviewed for Bibrave last year. I’m a huge fan of the brand and I’m happy to share why you need to add OOFOS to your running shoe collection!
Happy Global Running Day! This running holiday takes place annually on the first Wednesday of June. You may have heard that there are some deals to be had on various races – I’ve already received several emails with tons of discounts. Scoop up a good deal if you have the chance!
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be doing any running today. I’m still having foot issues and I have to listen to my body and give myself more rest. But in the spirit of Global Running Day, I thought it would be fun to fill out this “Would You Rather” survey, compliments of Wendy from Taking the Long Way Home. I really enjoyed reading her responses, and hopefully, you’ll enjoy mine too!
It’s the first week of June – is it feeling like summer yet where you live? I’m not ready!
It’s time for one of my favorite posts – looking back at my running goals for the previous month and creating new goals for the next month! It really does help me to stay motivated and on top of my game. Since I had my long running break in May, how can I get things rolling in June?
