As a runner, taking care of your feet is ESSENTIAL. And yet, it often seems to find its way near the bottom of the priority list. Since I’m currently dealing with plantar fasciitis after a long marathon training cycle, let’s say that I’ve truly learned this lesson the hard way – don’t neglect your feet!
The good news is that with the proper stretches, icing, and arch support, I seem to have a pretty positive prognosis. One element that is absolutely helping in my recovery is OOFOS Oolala Sandals. When you try on OOFOS, it feels a little weird, lol! I think it’s because we’re so used to insoles that aren’t very supportive. Unlike most shoes, OOFOS cradle your arches, providing the perfect amount of support. Once you get used to the feeling, or in other words #feeltheoo, you’ll be hooked!

I have really enjoyed wearing the OOFOS OOlala these past few weeks. I wear them around the house on a regular basis – they’re actually the first thing I put on in the morning when I get out of bed. It provides immediate relief. I’ve even worn these shoes during a trip to the mall and on a long walk – I’m talking 3-4 miles – and they are VERY comfortable, more so than most other shoes that I would wear!
I must admit that the orange color is VERY bright. It definitely turns heads and I’ve gotten some questions from people when they see me in the shoes. I’m always happy to tell them about the OOFOS brand since they’ve been such a game-changer for me! When I went to see the podiatrist for my plantar fasciitis, I wore my OOFOS to the appointment and she is a huge fan. That doctor’s endorsement was great to hear!
Since being treated for my foot injury, I’ll be sidelined for a few weeks from running – but if I did have any races, I would absolutely pack the OOlala’s in my bag for post-run recovery.
