I hope your August is off to a great start! New month, new goals, right? It’s always a great time to reflect, evaluate, and reset if needed!

I can’t believe that March was the last time that I shared my monthly fitness goals – this is one of my favorite posts because it really gives me motivation at the start of a new month. So without further ado, I’m going to share my goals!

I’m linking up with Kim and Zenaida for Tuesday Topics, and Debbie and Marc for the Running Coaches Corner.

Every month I've been sharing my running goals. Check it out and more running and fitness fun at runwithnoregrets.com!

Fitness Goals the Past Few Months

Even though I haven’t posted my running and fitness goals over the past few months, that doesn’t mean that I haven’t had goals in mind. Here’s a quick rundown on what my general goals were from April to July and how I did each month:

Biggest April Goal:

  • Have a solid, injury-free race at the Rock ‘n Roll Nashville Half Marathon. Grade: A. I finished just over 2:20 and had absolutely no foot pain. I was very proud of this race!

Biggest May Goal

  • Maintain health with the start of my first pregnancy. Grade: B+. I was in the midst of training for my last half marathon of the season and I was really focused on that, but then I had to take a step back and slow down. I was also very nauseous most of the time which killed my appetite.

Biggest June Goal

  • Make it through 1/2 Sauer 1/2 Kraut Half Marathon then keep up running 1-2 days a week. Grade: A-. The half was pretty tough, but I indeed made it through! I really focused on having consistent Saturday runs with the Running Club and doing a short run during the week. Unfortunately, the heat made those mid-week runs less frequent!

Biggest July Goal:

  • Focus on building/maintaining strength in barre and TRX classes. Grade: A. As the summer heat raged on I wanted to make the most of my indoor workouts, plus running has gotten more challenging as I’ve been regularly doing only the Saturday runs. But I almost always feel better after going to a class!

August Health and Fitness Goals

I'm sharing my fitness goals for August! It's a great way to keep yourself accountable! Check out more running posts at runwithnoregrets.com!
  • Keep up with barre and TRX workouts. I think it’s all going really well and my goal is to continue to attend these classes. One thing I do have to consider is making modifications for my belly. I’ve been a little shy, but I have to let all the instructors know that I’m pregnant so that I make sure I don’t overextend myself!
  • Run, walk, and hike to the best of my ability. Lately, I haven’t been running as much – mainly because of the ridiculous heat – but no matter what I do, I want to do the best that I can. I’ve actually been very good about listening to my body so I haven’t been pushing myself too hard. I just need to keep up that attitude!
  • Stay hydrated and eat as healthy as possible in Germany and Spain. As I mentioned in my Coffee Date post, I’m heading to Europe on a 2-week vacation! I’m super excited, but I’m also really nervous about the food situation now that I’m pregnant. There are so many meats and cheese that I will have to avoid, and I obviously won’t be drinking, so I hope I don’t feel like I’m missing out too much on the culture. In addition to that, I’m sure it’ll be super hot in Spain, so I’ll be making sure that I drink plenty of water!

What are your fitness goals for August? How did you do in July?
