We have entered the third month of 2020, wow! January seemed to drag on but February flew by! I have a feeling this month will be just as speedy…
Since it’s the first Saturday in March, I’m joining Deborah and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date linkup! It’s a great opportunity to catch up on non-running, non-blogging things. Grab a cup and join me because I have SO much to share with you!
Join in the #ultimatecoffeedate with @deborahbrooks14 and @got2run4me! It's always fun to catch up every 1st Saturday of the month! Click To TweetIf we were having coffee, I would tell you…that baby E is now 2 months old! It’s crazy, it seems like she should be older by now as time just continues to fly! She is absolutely wonderful. She smiles so much and has just started giggling/laughing. We’re doing really well and we have a lot of fun. It’s gonna be tough going back to work in less than a month!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I have finally been cleared to work out. I actually had to wait 8, instead of 6 weeks, so that was a little frustrating, but I’m glad to follow the doctor’s orders. On Wednesday night I went to my first barre class since December. It was definitely challenging and I’ve clearly lost a lot of strength, but I still held my own! I’m hoping to ease my way in before getting back to 8 classes a month.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you...that I was shocked when my OB told me that I didn’t have diastasis recti after all. She said she actually sewed everything back together during the C section since that’s just how she does it, lol! Such a relief, so now I can just focus on strengthening my core which has turned into mush.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that this Saturday will be my first day back to running! I’m excited to see how it goes, and of course a little bit nervous. I’d think it’d feel somewhat easier since I’m not carrying an extra 35 pounds, haha!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I’m now a month away from going back to work and I’m really nervous about creating a pumping routine. I have a great book on the subject but I’m already obsessing about building up my stash now, yet also scared to get started. I only really want to pump when I’m at work and nurse when I’m home, but I also am starting to leave the house alone more often and need to be able to “take care of business”. It’s really intimidating!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that this coronavirus outbreak is so scary! There just seems to be so much unknown, and the more I learn about it, the more worried I get! I was already worried about my baby getting exposure to the flu, now there’s this new virus that still seems to be so mysterious. Is it really a threat or fake news? I’m just glad that more people are finally taking hand washing seriously!
I’m so glad I got to catch up with you! What would you share with me over coffee?
