Speaking from my postpartum experience, it’s tough to realize that clothing doesn’t fit the same way that it used to before pregnancy. Honestly, there are still several pants I own that I haven’t attempted to try on. So a gift card to shop for new clothing is great and lets her be in control of the shopping experience. To keep this related to fitness, here are some brands to consider for revamping the workout wardrobe:
Gift cards are also great because they don’t expire so they can be used at any time!
I’ve already shared my experience during my trial of Many Happy Miles and again, this is an awesome community for women going through the same things as moms who are balancing family and fitness! Another Mother Runner offers gift cards for an annual membership! Since the price is over $200, this is a great group gift option!
They also have apparel online featuring the Mother Runners brand that’s really cute!
As a new mom, it may be a little bit more challenging to sit down and read a book – especially in those first few months! Personally, I’ve fallen in love with audiobooks. Bret gifted me a subscription to Audible and I really enjoyed it! Memoirs are much more interesting to listen to in the author’s voice! There are free options for audiobooks too, but I’ve noticed that library subscriptions are in high demand these days. If you want to skip the wait, I highly recommend gifting a free trial of Audible. It’s great on a stroller walk or while on the run!
In the first few weeks – okay months – I had no desire to cook. While it’s so helpful to have family and neighbors send your family meals, it’s only temporary. While Pinterest is a great resource for recipes, sometimes it’s just nice to grab a cookbook and get to work. Can you relate? Here are some great cookbooks that can help inspire some easy, healthy meals!
This gift is the holy grail for running moms! I had a baby shower at work and my heart completely melted when I realized that my Running Club chipped in to buy me a BOB running stroller! It was such a generous gift and we use it ALL the time – we’ve even used it on a few hikes!
I’d suggest trying to find out if your recipient has a certain stroller brand in mind since they have a wide price range. And if they already have the stroller, accessories are just as great! Some include stroller organizers, weather shields, and snack trays.
If you’re a mom who runs, what gift would you have on your list? Any other recommendations?
