I hope you’re doing well! Can you believe that we’re in March? Spring is so close that I can almost taste it!

With the start of a new month, I use it as an opportunity to reflect on the previous month and set new goals. And I’ve really enjoyed these posts where I can keep myself accountable with my health and fitness goals. Check it out below!

February Goal Recap

  • Successfully manage time for half marathon training. Grade: A. I had a great start to my training for the Delaware Half Marathon! Coach Laura has created a plan that has kept me busy, and I’m really proud of how committed I’ve been and how I’m able to stick to a routine.
  • Spend more quality time with my family. Grade: B. We had more quality time together for sure, but I still think there’s room to grow. I’m looking forward to warmer weather so that we can get back out in nature!
  • Practice 15 minutes of yoga daily.  Grade: C. I practiced yoga for 18 out of 28 days, which was lower than I anticipated, but I’m still proud of the time I made on the mat.

March Wellness Goals

  • Schedule time for neighborhood walks and hikes. When I’m in training mode, walking always seems like the first thing that goes away, which is a shame because I truly enjoy it! This month, I will be more intentional in making time to walk and/or hike.
  • Thoroughly stretch and foam roll after each run.  This is something that I have struggled with/slacked on for far too long, but since I’ve been having some weird ankle/shin stuff going on lately, I know I need to really be smart about my prehab!
  • Unplug an hour before bed.  I have been going to bed entirely too late and spending so much wasted time on mindless scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. So I am finally going to UNPLUG and see what happens!
