I hope you’re having a great start to the month of April! Is it me or did March really drag on?

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that last weekend I participated in the Bibrave Pro’s annual summit and I had a great time! It’s been great being part of the community for over 5 years. We had lots of informative sessions, fun activities, and the opportunity to “network” for 3-minute video chats. I’m now inspired to take things up a notch on social media, even considering dabbling in creating video!
If we were having coffee, I would ask you…if you’ve been vaccinated yet, assuming you’re okay with sharing that info? I have to say that I’m starting to get jealous because there has been no movement in our household! My employer sent me a note that I qualify for 1C. I think the city is doing 1A and 1B right now, but I keep hearing people are getting their shots, seemingly sooner than they should. I’m of course grateful to not be in a high-risk group, but I’m tempted to start checking pharmacies to get one of their leftover shots!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that we’ve decided to get solar panels on our house! I’m really excited about it and hope that the process goes smoothly! With Bret and I both working from home, the electricity bill has been much higher than pre-pandemic, and I’m glad that we’ll able to save money and help the planet. Do you know what’s crazy? We wouldn’t have been able to do this if the neighbor’s tree didn’t fall (and land on our house) last summer!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that we’re also looking to go electric for our next car! We sold Bret’s Ford Fiesta a few months ago and now we just have my Honda Fit. Electric vehicles are really taking off, and there are some really cool-looking cars on the market with more to come! We want to get something more like an SUV so that we have enough space for the 3 of us. I think we’ll probably wait until late this year or early next year to take the plunge.
If we were having coffee, I would ask you…if you are making any summer travel plans? I really want to go to the beach for a week, lol. I have a lot of vacation time that I was able to carry over from last year and I want to use it! I’m just nervous that everywhere will be packed…
