It’s been far too long since I’ve been able to catch up with my blogging pals, so I’m glad that I eked out just enough time to join the Ultimate Coffee Date this month! How are we already in month 3 of 2023?
Thanks Coco and Deborah for hosting! Be sure to check out their sites and all the others that are sharing!
Time for Coffee Talk!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I am still enjoying Peloton. However, I will gymfess that I’ve been having all kinds of issues with using the Peloton bike at the work gym. My right shoe seems to LOVE getting stuck in the pedal, and I have the official Peloton shoes! It’s been super frustrating, and I’ve even missed the train since it takes me extra time to get all set up, but I enjoy the 30 minutes I get to ride once a week.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I’m happy to have my own office again after nearly 1.5 years of being relocated! Our main office building has been getting renovated one floor at a time and my department was one of the last to move to the upgraded space. I was generally content in my temporary worksite, but now that I’m “home”, it’s been a game-changer! Everything is shiny and new and it’s just nice to be able to close my own door again while working!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I am excited about going on vacation for spring break! We will be heading to the Blue Ridge, GA area and staying in an awesome cabin I found on AirBnb. We’re going to be hiking, checking out waterfalls, and hopefully eating some great southern food! Work has been so busy, so it’ll be great to get away and spend time with the people that matter most. If you have any recommendations for the area, please let me know! We’ll probably do a day trip to Altanta as well!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I did some shopping for work at Banana Republic Factory online and I am SO excited to be updating/upgrading my wardrobe! I’ve been wearing some dress pants that I have outgrown since pregnancy LOL, so it’s time to size up and be comfortable! I look forward to rocking the new styles and stepping things up again!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I just signed up for the Rehoboth Beach Seashore Half Marathon, taking place on December 2! This is the only race I’m signed up for this year, and it’ll be the first time running it. I’ve heard such amazing things, and there’s a good chance that we’ll make a weekend out of it. I hope this will give me some focus in the months ahead to have a strong race!
What would you share with me over coffee?

Have so much fun on vacay! I feel like we’ve not had a vacation in awhile, although the one we’re planning this summer requires Malaria pills, so there’s that. Haha!
I enjoy using the Peloton bike at my office gym, even though it does take a minute to adjust the seat and connect my iPods. The bikes there have SPD clips, though, not Delta clips like the home bike, so I’m surprised your Peloton shoes work at all with your gym’s bike.
Yay on the new office space. I actually just moved to my newly renovated space last week. It is very shiny because we all have glass walls and glass doors …
I’ve never run Rehoboth, but it is my favorite beach!
I’ve heard great things about the Rehoboth half. It’s flat and smallish should be a great race to train for. RE the Peloton shoes-sounds like maybe the cleat might need some tightening? Hope you figure it out! Who are your fave instructors?
Hey, Janelle! Great to see you again! That’s great news on your office … temporary locations are tolerable, but there’s nothing like being “back” in a more permanent setting. That’s exciting you have a December race on the calendar (and in a fun location)!
Enjoy your trip to GA! Last spring, I joined Holly for a race in Georgia and we hit some wineries in the area. It worked out well since I flew home out of Atlanta.
I don’t have a lot of races this year either–running for fun is suiting me well!
Have fun on vacation. That area is supposed to be beautiful.
I’m still mostly working from home.
That’s a great half. I wish I lived closer. I’d love to run that one.
Have a great time on your vacation! Yay for the half marathon. I have heard great things about it.
great to hear from you Janelle! I don’t have peloton but sometimes I have issues getting my shoe out of my bike at home AND the gym. at home I can just give up and leave the shoe there and just remove my foot, but kind of weird behaviour for the gym hahaha!
enjoy your spring break! we are off to Malaga to see my parents soon – I can’t wait for some sunshine, tapas, ice cream and sangria!!
