I hope you’re doing well! We finally got out of January, and the groundhog has said that spring is coming sooner, so things are looking up!

It’s the first Saturday of month, so I would love to join you for a virtual coffee catch-up! Cheers to Deborah and Coco for hosting these each month!

Ultimate Coffee Date – February 2024

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that E has been taking swimming classes for the past few weeks, and we just received her mid-session progress report. While she has a lot of enthusiasm in the water and loves going underwater, she still has to work on her floating and kicking. I love seeing her in the pool and look forward to her continuing to improve!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I’ve been going through the hiring process for an analyst to report to me. I’m almost at the point of making the final decision, and I’m really excited since we had so many great candidates. They are going to be a huge help, as work has been incredibly busy with more to come! I just need to NOT overthink when I make the final decision!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that on the 12th, Bret and I will celebrate our 12 year anniversary of our first date. Crazy how time flies! Hopefully we’ll get to do something nice to celebrate. It’s been incredibly busy for the family lately, but we are long overdue for a nice dinner out!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…that I didn’t read nearly as many books as I wanted to in January, so I’m hoping to do a better job this month. My reading tastes are all over the place, but I do usually like to read books by black authors in February. Do you have any recommendations? I was listening to the audio of Black AF History last month, but I didn’t finish and now have to wait 9 more weeks to get it back!
