Ultimate Coffee Date – August 2020

I hope you are doing well and that you and your family are healthy! I have truly missed keeping up with you all on the blog. I’ve been keeping busy with mom life and work life, but I am always thinking about how I wish I had more time to write! I promise to do better in these last few months of the year!

Weekly Rundown: Crazy Times

I hope you are doing well and staying healthy. If you’ve followed the news, you know that things have been absolutely insane as another unarmed black man, George Floyd, was mercilessly killed by a white police officer. As a result, there have been protests all over the country and even around the globe. Philadelphia has been particularly riled up; while there have been peaceful protests, several areas of the city have been set aflame and businesses destroyed. We’ve been having curfews over the weekend on top of the stay at home order for COVID-19. How do you cope with so much unrest in this country? Working out helps, but only so much…

Weekly Rundown: Memorial Day Weekend

I hope you are doing well! Today is Memorial Day, a day to honor our fallen soldiers. We have the day off, which is so weird in this quarantined world that we live in. Philly is still under stay at home orders and even though we may be going from green to yellow soon, we are still pretty much on lockdown. I’m just glad to hear that we can now order cocktails to-go from restaurants!

Sadly, before all of this happened, we were looking forward to going to Buffalo, introducing Baby E to the family, participating in the Buffalo Marathon weekend, and of course eating lots of baby back ribs lol. Instead, we’re going to just have a few BBQ-type dishes and stay home this holiday. I’m just grateful to still be healthy.

Weekly Rundown: Building Strength

I hope you’re having a great day! It feels like May is flying by so quickly – didn’t it just get started? We’ve finally started to get spring-like weather here in Philly, which means eventually it’ll be a battle to beat the heat when running outside. Yes, running in the heat is still my LEAST favorite time of year, haha!
