Running Moms 101: Tips for Running During Pregnancy

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | running tips

I’m so excited to kick off my new running series on the blog! You may recall that I started a Running 101 series, where I share fundamental tips for those who are newer to running. Well, now I’ve decided to create a new series for Moms/Mom’s-to-be called Running Moms 101! Since becoming a mom, this post-partum running life has been quite a journey! I look forward to sharing some insights that I’ve learned during this experience as it continues to evolve, from traveling hacks to mental health, and everything in between.

For my first Running Moms 101 lesson, I am sharing my tips for running during pregnancy. I had my first (and only) pregnancy in 2019, and I’ve been wanting to write a post about running while pregnant since giving birth to E, so I’m excited to finally look back and share some of the lessons I learned during that special period in my life.

Running 101: How to Review Your Year of Running

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | running tips

I hope you’re doing well! The current year is almost at its end, which makes it a great time for reflection as you gear up for the year ahead.

Today I thought I’d share another lesson in Running 101 on how to review your year of running! I think as runners, we’re often thinking about what’s next and how we can continue to improve. One component that may sometimes be forgotten is to review all the great work you’ve already done! It can be a great way to appreciate your accomplishments while also helping you strategize for how to conquer the next year!

Be sure to check out my other Running 101 posts, including How to Have a Successful Virtual Race and How to Be a More Eco-Friendly Runner!

Running 101: How to Be a More Eco-Friendly Runner

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | running tips

Hey there! After a brief hiatus, Running 101 is back in session! This is a blog series I started a few years ago to share tips for runners that are either completely new to the sport or are more experienced and want to review the basics! Here are just a few “courses” I’ve shared:

One issue that I’ve been thinking about lately is climate change and what I can do to personally minimize my environmental impact. Over the years, I’ve been making changes in my everyday life to “do better” for our planet, and that has recently extended to running. How we can enjoy running in an environmentally responsible way? I have a few ideas!

I hope that these tips to being an eco-friendly runner find just a little bit of resonance in your life! I bet there’s already a lot of this that you do, but hopefully I’ve provided a little bit of food for thought!

Running 101: How to Have a Successful Virtual Race

By Janelle @ Run With No Regrets | running tips , training

Virtual races – you either love them or hate them! Virtual races have been around for years and provide a great way to encourage you to get out the door and earn some great swag. Thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, participating in virtual races has evolved from a nice-to-have option to a necessity since in-person races are still prohibited in most cities.

Since virtual races are clearly here to stay, I thought for my latest Running 101 post, I would share tips on how to have your most successful virtual race! Just because you’re not running with hundreds or thousands of other runners, that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a great experience!
